Obama-Pelosi
To match some of the Obama rhetoric, an interview with Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rose. Yay, my representative is the most powerful woman in the country! (Besides Oprah, of course.)
Whenever I usually see Speaker Pelosi talk, I know she’s been coaching herself on talking points, and they usually don’t work in a sentence very well. Well, she has the same problem here, but it evaporates within five minutes after she gets them out of the way. She gives a fascinating view of the banking crisis from the inside, and how she sees legislative priorities. This is the person I see winning legislative victories through strategies and tactics. I suppose it’s too much to ask any one person to be able to be an effective legislator and talking point spewer. She did get it all right in the end: educate innovate prevail. Oh there was a third point before prevail, but it didn’t stick. I wish I saw more of this Nancy and not the one in soundbites. This Nancy rocks!
Go San Francisco Values! Go progressive caucus!!!
